Description / William Smith Geological Map Jigsaw
If you know someone who loves poring over atlases - or rocks - why not treat them to this 750-piece puzzle of the first geological map of Britain. And if they want to get up close to a full-sized replica of the original, why not book free tickets to see it on display in the Images of Nature Gallery at the Museum?
The original map was published in 1815 by William Smith who combined vivid colours and shading techniques to illustrate the different rock layers of England, Wales and southern Scotland - all of which will challenge and entertain the keenest of puzzlers.
It's made from sustainable materials and measures 600mm by 435mm when complete.
