White Shark Soft Toy

Perhaps better known as the great white shark – or Jaws – the white shark (Carcharodon carcharias) has evolved some amazing adaptations to help them hunt.

They have torpedo-like bodies, allowing them to accelerate to 40 kilometres per hour, they have a specialised web of capillaries in their swimming muscles which gives them more energy, plus their grey top and white belly colouring works as camouflage, whether their prey is looking from above or below.

These adaptations are well represented in the soft toy version, particularly the fabulous rows of teeth and the shark skin, which is all made from recycled plastic and wonderfully huggable.
