Description / Werner’s Sticky Notes Set

You’ll never forget to buy more milk with these bold Post-It-style notes. There are five different-sized and different-coloured notepads, which all fit neatly into a presentation booklet.

The five colours are called Mountain Green, Red Lilac Purple, Cream Yellow, Buff Orange and Aurora Red. Each one features in a book by Patrick Syme, first published in 1814, which was designed to help artists and naturalists describe plants, animals and minerals in a consistent way before the era of photography.

The name of the book, Werner’s Nomenclature of Colours, is printed on the inside cover along with the explanation that Charles Darwin used it when surveying specimens during his Voyage of the Beagle between 1831 and 1836.

The front cover of the set features a table of these and other colours, similar to how they are recorded in the original book.
