Description / Werner’s Ballpoint Pen

The bottom half of this stylish pen features coloured squares based on those from a book published in 1814. Werner’s Nomenclature of Colours by Patrick Syme helped naturalists and artists to portray characteristics of plants, animals and minerals before the era of photography. Charles Darwin famously referenced it during his Voyage of the Beagle onboard a British navy vessel surveying the South American coastline between 1831 and 1836.

The book’s name is printed on the blue top half of the pen, which also has a handy clip. Why not team it up with the Werner’s Notebook or Werner’s Sticky Notes Set to make a colourful gift for stationery fans.
