Description / Ulysses Butterfly Notebook

A brilliant, bold, beautiful notebook is exactly the place for your creative ideas - along with the perhaps less-exciting to-do lists!

Based on original artwork held in our Library and Archives, the bright yellow cover features an illustration of a blue Ulysses butterfly, surrounded by botanical drawings of lemon leaves, blossom and fruit. It's made from sustainably sourced paper and the lay-flat binding means the spine doesn't crease awkwardly when it's open, making it easier to write on and keeping the design looking fresh.

Papilio ulysses is a type of large swallowtail pollinator native to Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands, where it's also known as the blue emperor due to the colour of its iridescent wings which can reach 14 centimetres across.
