Smilodon Soft Toy

With its cuddly soft fur and cute features, you’d be forgiven for thinking that this represents a big pussy cat. Oh no. It represents a hypercarnivore, which feasted on lots of meat, and is also known as the sabre-toothed tiger.

When alive and roaming the Americas between 2.5 million and 12,000 years ago, the Smilodon used its 28-centimetre-long canine teeth to kill prey using a unique head motion as well as its forelimbs.

This fluffy sabre-tooth teddy, however, is designed entirely for hugs and playtime.
