Fluorite Slice

This piece of fluorite is like having your own slice of a mineral rainbow. The horizontal layers stack in different colours, such as blue, green, purple, yellow, pink and reddish orange, and the way it’s been cut and polished emphasises its textured, natural pattern.

As a mineral, fluorite occurs commonly in many countries around the world. This one comes from China, where it was mined with respect for the environment and produced according to high standards of working conditions.

Each display piece is cut slightly differently, so the size and weight stated are approximate. The display stand pictured here is not included with the slice.
