Emperor Penguin Chick Soft Toy

This is perhaps the cutest way to raise awareness among youngsters of the declining population of these, the largest of the penguin species.

Emperor penguins raise their chicks on solid ice, but with the climate of the Antarctic warming, the ice is becoming unpredictable and unstable, leading to breeding failure. Gradually, there’s less room to breed, feed, stay safe from predators and for baby penguins to grow their aquatic feathers.

As the hatchlings grow, young emperor chicks grow grey feathers, a black crown and white cheeks, much like how this toy version looks, with its black feet and super soft, huggable fur.
